LESSONS AT SNAPDRAGON STABLES
We offer english riding instruction for people of all ages and skill levels-from those who have never been on a horse to advanced riders looking to polish their skills. We attend shows year-round for all levels.
You may sign up for lessons at any time and are not limited to certain enrollment dates. All riders begin with a private introductory lesson for the same cost as a regular lesson. This will give you a chance to meet Jamie and the horses and get a tour of the facilities.
Our focus is on quality, not quantity. Group lessons are limited in size; usually 3 riders and never to exceed 5. Groups are determined by the rider's ability.
Lessons meet on the same day and time each week. While most lessons are weekday evenings and weekends, there are openings during weekdays as well.
Our lesson horses and well-trained and well-mannered. We consider them our greatest asset and treat them as family. While our horses are never rented out to the public, they are sometimes available for Half or Full Leases, horse showing and also for group trails rides into Tuckahoe State Park.
In the Spring and Fall we hold 'Pony Day', a one-day camp each month. This is a great way for new students to get to know other riders and if you have never ridden, you can give it a try. This day is full of crafts, games, lunch and riding.
If you are unable to attend a lesson, kindly give 24hrs notice-otherwise payment is due in full the following lesson. Please help us to not have this happen. We are closed then Caroline County Schools are closed for inclement weather. Call the barn if you are unsure of lessons due to weather-if you would like, we will conduct in-the-barn lessons to learn horse care, feeding and tacking at 1/2 the usual rate on these days.

There is a $5 discount to Boarders and Leasors applied to ALL lessons.
